There isn't a way to choose the destination directory for compressed files and the Help file doesn't tell you where the archive will be placed. BTW, I have also developed a manual workaround to turn Google Maps auto-generated routes into GPX files for import into Locus Map. I use a combination of mobile app PLUS connectIQ app to be able to create GPX files and export them to the fenix without internet, just an Android smartphone/tablet. Once you make your selections, it should take only a click of the Run button to create or open an archive. OsmAnd has an excellent route creator option (although its Israel map is in Hebrew), so I will experiment with it to create my routes and export the GPX files to Locus.
